Tech project proposals

As the deadline for tech project proposals nears, I am hearing that many folks do not have the time to submit anything. I understand the fact that ITC's are pushed and pulled in many directions. Just remember that you do not have to do everything yourself. In fact in this scenario, you many not want to. The proposals will be prioritized by the director of high schools. With this audience for your proposals I think that it would be more beneficial to enlist the help of the teachers that will be affected by the project.

You will need to outline a sound educational benefit of the project, and the teacher who will use them has the best perspective to address this issue. The teachers and the students they serve are the most immediate and largest stake holders. Use this to knowledge to spread out the work and make as many proposals as you feel are needed on your campus.

I know they have placed a large requirement without a definite payoff, but the potential of getting something funded is still better than the assurance nothing will be funded.

First WebEx

Well, all I can say is that it is over. I have found a few logistical problems on my end. I believe that there is some reall potential with it as a communication tool.

I was good hearing you all in the same "room". I hope that you will take command of the opportunity for direct communucation in the future. You will make this user group successful or not. Communication between all of us as problems and solutions come up will make us all better. We will never reach the point of knowing everything so we must keep learning. We are our own best assests. Let's use our own abilities.

I will be updating the website (highschooltech.net) by today at 5:00. I will be posting the powerpoint from yesterday as a powerpoint file for download and as a html show.

I look forward to our next "meeting"
